Anthony Pryce - Director

'What Anthony doesn’t know about pheasants can be written on the side of a cartridge with a crayon…'

Anthony has been integrally involved with game rearing and sporting estates for over 25 years. He is very well thought of in the industry due to his commitment and honest approach to producing top quality stock for sporting estates as well as understanding how to create, manage and maintain first class driven shoots.

From the age of 15 Anthony has been involved with game. He started off as an underkeeper, working his way up to head keeper at Kempton in South Shropshire. He then oversaw and continued to grow the UK’s largest Game Farm as well as developing and maintaining several renowned sporting estates in Mid Wales and The West Country.

He decided to go it alone in 2015 and founded Cambrian Birds & Shoots. As Managing Director he continues to use his knowledge and passion to steer the company each and every day.

During the last two and a half decades Anthony has been there and done it. He is not afraid to get stuck in, he has seen it all and knows first-hand how successful rearing should be done, or perhaps more importantly, how not to do it. It is because of this that he is perfectly placed to rear strong birds for our customers, as well as provide impartial, honest and effective advice to all who require it.

Will Horner - Head of Shooting Sales & Hatchery Manager

Originally from Dorset Will has always held a passion for fieldsports, in particular shooting and fly fishing. From a young age he could be found trying to tempt wily brown trout on West Country rivers and walking the hedgerows in search of quarry.

Will spent three years studying Rural Land Management at the Royal Agricultural University and whilst there he also captained the men’s shooting team to victories all over the country. He also, rather unsurprisingly, based his Dissertation on English Partridges. Upon graduating Will worked as a Land Agent but his unending passion for fieldsports meant that in 2017, he joined Cambrian Birds.

Will is the company’s shooting sales and hatchery manager and has a real passion for the intricacies of gamebird incubation. During the summer months Will splits his time between managing the companies every expanding gamebird hatchery as well heading up the Sales and Logistics department. This leads nicely into the shooting season where Will can be found hosting shoot days on any of the company’s shoots.
